Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the World Championship in Massage is Bernadette Cunanan from Italy/Philippines. The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself:

My name is Bernadette Cunanan. I live in Rome, Italy, and I am originally from the Philippines.

From a young age, my mother inspired me to take care of myself. She often received hilot (traditional Filipino massage) whenever she felt tired, and witnessing this deeply influenced me. Growing up with this culture of self-care gave me a strong sense of purpose that continues to guide my work today.

I am a professional massage therapist and aesthetician dedicated to holistic well-being and conscious touch.

My work is based on the belief that massage is not only a physical treatment, but also a powerful tool to support balance, awareness, and quality of life.

I would like to share to everyone in two categories my personal experiences and protocols, Face and body shaping massage.

I created the VITA Method, a massage protocol designed to reconnect mind and body through mindful manual techniques. My massage focuses on body awareness, muscular tension release, lymphatic stimulation, and deep relaxation. Each treatment is structured, safe, and adapted to the individual needs of the client. No limit of age.

Within the VITA Method, I also developed a Maternity Protocol, specifically designed to support women during pregnancy. This treatment helps relieve muscular tension, reduce fluid retention, and promote a sense of lightness and calm, while respecting the physical and emotional changes of the expectant mother.

The VITA Face Method is a professional facial massage protocol designed to reduce stress and inflammation while restoring balance, relaxation, and natural radiance to the face.

This treatment is based on targeted manual techniques focused on lymphatic drainage and tissue stimulation, supporting the reduction of facial tension, fluid retention, and inflammatory responses.

My approach is professional, respectful, and client-centered, with the intention of restoring vitality, harmony, and inner well-being.

I graduated at ISU specializing different types of massages techniques back in 2015 at the Institute Human Sciences in Rome https://www.istitutodiscienzeumane.org/scuola-di-massaggio/

Inspiring me more to selfcare I have achieved my Aesthetician degree in 2022 at the BSA academy in Rome

And I am still learning and keeping me updated to new techniques, to give better service everyday and everywhere.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.
During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.
The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.

Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. His energy seemed boundless, akin to a rechargeable battery, as he was present everywhere, capturing videos and photographs of all participants and conducting interviews with us.

Wishing all my fellow "muscle kneaders" the best of luck; may you enjoy this truly remarkable experience in your lives!

Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.
Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person.
