Latest Massage Therapist participating at the 2026 World Championship in Massage is English Massage Champion Andreea-Oana Dumitrescu. The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself:

I grew up in a peaceful Romanian village, where life moved slowly and intuition was a natural guide. Over a decade ago, I relocated to London—an entirely different rhythm—and it was within this vibrant city that I discovered my true calling: the art of massage and therapeutic touch.

My journey in competitive massage began only a few years ago. Entering my first championship with very little competitive experience, I was delighted to place as a bronze finalist in the Deep Tissue category. In October 2024, I returned to the competition floor and earned the Gold Medal, performing my treatment on the Grand Finale stage.

In 2025, I was honoured with the Judge’s Excellence Award at the National Massage Championship in the UK for “The Sound of Silence massage”—an award that holds deep personal meaning, as it reflects both skill and heart.

My practice is shaped by a blend of structured training and instinctive awareness. I work not just with muscles, but with the story a body carries. My treatments aim to support clients beyond physical tension—creating a space where body, mind, and soul can come together, reconnect, and restore harmony.

Rooted in my rural beginnings yet shaped by London’s dynamic energy, I carry both worlds into my work: grounded, intuitive touch paired with modern technique and continuous professional learning. My intention is always to offer treatments that feel nurturing, transformative, and deeply personal.

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event.
