Latest participant to sign up for the 2023 World Championship in Massage is the Bronze winner of the Chair Massage Category at this years American Massage Championship. The International Massage Association has asked him to tell about himself:

I am Tony Bethel LMT, Lead Massage Therapist at Simply Beautiful Day Spa and Salt Room; the #1 Day Spa in Downers Grove, Illinois; which is southwest of Chicago on Ogden Avenue (Rt. 34).I attended the Seattle Massage School from 1993-94, graduating first in my class. Sadly, the school has been closed for a few years. But many great therapists and teachers live on.

My specialties at the spa are: Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Himalayan Salt Rock Massage, Hot Stone Massage and Back Tension Massage. Pregnancy Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Reflexology and Scalp Massage are also highly requested for me. Please go to www.simplybeautifuldayspa.com.
I also received a letter of commendation from the BP corporation for my work in Chair Massage at their Corporate Campus in Naperville, Illinois from 2018 to the end of 2019. My position ended due to Covid/Corporate changes.

I competed in the first American Massage Championship at Harrah’s Cherokee Resort in Cherokee, North Carolina at the 15th annual World Massage Festival. I won the Bronze medal in the Chair Massage Competition. I look forward to learning and competing for the United States of America, in beautiful Copenhagen, Denmark.

Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person. Måske allervigtigst er, at Jeppe Tengbjerg er en inspiration og et forbillede. Jeg har taget både grunduddannelsen, skadesterapeut, thai yoga massage samt sundhedsfaglig grunduddannelse hos tengbjerg massørskole og jeg er så tilfreds. Man lærer utrolig meget på kurserne og underviserne er så kompetente! Hvis man overvejer at blive massør, kan jeg på det kraftigste anbefale at man smutter til Næstved! :-)
