Latest participant to sign up for the World Championship in Massage is Nguyen Hong Thu from Vietnam. IMA has asked her to tell about herself.

I would like to introduce my name: Nguyen Hong Thu (French name Thich Nu Tho Khiem)

I’m from Vietnam.

I live and grew up in Saigon Big Market and I have been a monk since the age of 8 until now.

I graduated from the Center for Training and Research in Traditional Ethnic Medicine from 1990 to 1993.

I have always loved my profession because I see that massage therapy and acupuncture help society reduce pain without using medicine

I treat headaches, neck and shoulders with the Shiatsu method.

Currently, I have been working for a temple in the US since 1998 until now. And once when I returned to Vietnam, I met Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh. She treated me through a long flight and due to the hard work of building a temple in the US, I was also very sick, but Ms. Anh dedicatedly treated me with energy stone acupuncture and methods. Ms. Anh’s massage I feel very healthy and very effective, so I signed up to study with Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh at Technical College 2

I want to develop this industry in the US, so when I heard Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh share about taking the International Massage Skills Competition. I asked Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh to register to learn more from International Teachers.

The International Massage Association look forward watching Nguyen Hong Thu skills at the World Championship in Massage 2022 in Denmark.

It is a great honor to receive the NMC Overall Winner Award 2024, and I am truly grateful to have Jeppe present it to me.
