New Azerbaijan Massage Championship
The number of IMA approved Massage Championships is growing. IMA Teachers/Judges Maria Filatova and Andrey Syrchenko participated in Azerbaijan last week.
Massage Championship and Conference “Strategy 2022” for spa specialists⠀On June 03-04, the First International Professional Conference SPA & WELLNESS and the First Professional Massage Championship were held in Baku (Azerbaijan).
The conference is organized by the Aesthetic & Wellness World Academy with the support of the International Massage Association and the National Federation of Massage Therapists (Russia), as well as the International School SPASCHOOL, Magistra Massage Technologies (St. Petersburg), the International School of Health Technology Teachers International Teacher, the RED Service School and the School of Client Manager.
The event was supported by the State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan, and the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan.The event was attended by leading massage therapists, osteopaths, cosmetologists, spa therapists, wellness therapists, chiropractors, reflexologists, physiotherapists and spa managers.The main purpose of the event is to allow qualified specialists in this field to introduce themselves among professionals, show their creative potential, make an important step in the development of professional and high-quality massage in Azerbaijan, exchange experience and discuss prospects in this field.
The first day was dedicated to a large-scale professional championship – 100 specialists competed in 3 categories: medical massage, facial massage and spa massage. The competition was really strong and intense – after all, in addition to fame, honor and gifts, the winners get the opportunity to show themselves at the largest international competition – World Championship Massage in Denmark. According to the results of the Azerbaijani championship, 18 participants who showed the best results were included in the Azerbaijani national team and got a chance to compete in Copenhagen in 2022.After the competition, the conference “Strategy 2022” was held: International trends in Spa \ Wellness, Algorithms for recreating and uploading SPA concepts and values, New customer service rules and new trends in HR policy, New quality control tools. Customer focus and service – such topics were discussed at the conference by managers. At the same time, the specialists were introduced to the topics of Professional Development Strategy and Recommendations for the development of specialists at the international level.We are sure that in the near future Azerbaijan will confidently and loudly declare itself on the world massage and service scene.
