Liljana Untuliene, Lithiania
Latest Massage Therapist participating at the 2026 World Championship in Massage is Liljana Untuliene from Lithuania. The IMA has asked her to tell about herself:
OSTEOARTICULAR TANDEM MASSAGE is like a passive body workout that helps restore or maintain a sense of freedom in the body. During the massage, slow pressure techniques, fascial release techniques, passive movements, and stretches are applied to encourage soft tissue relaxation and improve joint mobility.
My professional journey began 29 years ago. Briefly about myself: I graduated from the Lithuanian Sports University in Kaunas in 1997 and obtained a qualification in therapeutic massage in 1998.
I have studied the art of massage with various teachers and continue to deepen my knowledge to this day. One of my first massage teachers was Rūta Stratkauskienė, who opened the door to a broader world of massage for me. I am an RS Holistic Massage Master. I later studied body Chiro massage, traditional Thai massage, deep tissue massage, and facial myofascial massage.
At the moment, I live in Kretinga and perform my private massage practice, “SPA Levanda”.
My educational background comes from Lietuvos Sporto universitetas (https://www.lsu.lt)
