Latest Participants signing up for the World Championship in Massage 2022 is Hye-Sun Yang from South Korea. The IMA has asked her to tell about herself:

From when I was 20, I started volunteering at social welfare facilities and learning massages to take good care of the residents.

Currently, I work as a massager in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

My ambition is to teach massage to young people who lack the financial ability to stand on their own feet because I am interested in alternative education.

This is because massage has a world wide field that transcends race, gender, and language.

Through the massage industry, we are able to gain the power to survive on our own in the worst barren environment, even without good academical background and wealth.

I couldn’t go to massage school. In Korea, only the visually impaired can enter Massage College. So when I wanted to be a good massage therapist, I took a private lesson from a foreign massage teacher.
