Latest Massage therapist signing up for the 6th World Championship in Massage is Andrea Bird from USA. The IMA has asked her to tell about herself:
My name is Andrea Bird and I have been a practicing Massage Therapist since 2010 and will represent the United States of America. I graduated from Denver School of Massage Therapy in Colorado in 2010 and truly feel I was blessed with some of the most passionate and knowledgeable instructors. They really cared that we left with the best understanding of our pending careers, unfortunately the school is no longer open.
I have my own private practice in Corpus Christi, Texas and it has been simply awesome for the last 10 years! My client base has truly turned into a beautiful daily experience and we have all turned into a wonderful team. I have a wide variety of clientele and strive to make sure everyone gains the best experience and result from my sessions. I have brought some of the biggest athletes to stage in bodybuilding or I have helped clients through the longest marathons. I also have loved the ability to get someone to hit their most relaxed state.
I simply fell in love with bodywork and I truly love the challenge of breaking pain cycles from old or new injuries, or what is really stressing the body out. In that detective work I utilize my skill sets with deep tissue, sports/injury, cupping therapy, and several named tools that may be of use to help. The body simply amazes me on its challenges and results.
Going to an event as big as this, is super exciting and I am overjoyed with the possibilities that it may bring.
The International Massage Association look forward watching Andrea Bird skills at the World Championship in Massage later this year in wonderful Copenhagen.
