Latest Massage Therapist signing up for the World Championship in Massage is Agni-Elena Khmeleva from Portugal. The International Massage Association has asked her to tell about herself:

“My name is Agni. I was born and raised in Russia, and now I live in Portugal. My journey into massage therapy began with my passion for meditation and inner work. My first teacher, Vit Mano, taught me about the connection between emotions and the body. He was the first to help me with neck problems through massage, meditation, and body therapy. Experiencing this myself, I became interested in how I could help others with similar issues.

For over 7 years, massage has been more than just a passion; it has been my profession.

The Japanese facial massage, which I present as a participant in the championship, is one of the specialties of my work. Coming from a background in body therapy, I perceive the face as the “gateway” to our system. The face is the door to our home. It is the first to meet any troubles and protect our system from the assaults of the external world. Japanese facial massage is a dance that not only provides a rejuvenating effect but also balances and calms the entire system of a person.

My many years of experience in meditation allow me to be fully present for the client. Combined with the techniques of Japanese facial massage, this provides a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating effect.”

I had the honor of participating in the 7th Massage Competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last June about 250 over participants from 50 over countries.During this event, I encountered numerous massage therapists who profoundly inspired me till now, we made connectionson social media, learning new techniques from them as well.The competition venue was expansive and expertly designed to accommodate all categories of massage.Mr. Jeppe, my greatest idol, was exceptionally engaged throughout the event. Jeg mødte Jeppe Tengbjerg for første gang ved det første World Massage Championship i 2017. Siden da har vi krydset veje mange gange, i forskellige samarbejder relateret til massageverdenen: internationale konkurrencer, danske konkurrencer, kurser, workshops, seminarer, masterclasses mv. . Her var Jeppe skaberen, arrangøren eller i det mindste var han en væsentlig faktor i dannelsen af disse værdifulde platforme for uddannelse, inspiration og promovering, for alle dem, der er involveret i massageverdenen, både som massageudbydere og som massageforbrugere.Jeppe har ydet et kæmpe bidrag til at fremme massageværdier i Danmark og verden. Der kunne siges meget om dette bidrag og om hans egenskaber som professionel og som person. Måske allervigtigst er, at Jeppe Tengbjerg er en inspiration og et forbillede. Jeg har taget både grunduddannelsen, skadesterapeut, thai yoga massage samt sundhedsfaglig grunduddannelse hos tengbjerg massørskole og jeg er så tilfreds. Man lærer utrolig meget på kurserne og underviserne er så kompetente! Hvis man overvejer at blive massør, kan jeg på det kraftigste anbefale at man smutter til Næstved! :-)
